Referral marketing disclosure

You deserve to know what kind of company you are dealing with before a truck pulls up, so here it is without the fine print. Rocket City Foundation Repair is a marketing and booking website for foundation repair, basement waterproofing and crawl space work in Huntsville and the towns around it in Madison, Morgan and Limestone counties. The phone number on every page rings a line that is answered at any hour by an automated assistant, which takes your details and passes them to a person who calls you back. The inspection, the piers, the drain tile and the backfill are done by independent foundation contractors we work with in north Alabama. They are not employees of this website, and the website is not a contractor.

Which contractor you get depends on where the house is, what the problem looks like and who can come soonest. When a booking turns into paid work, the contractor may pay us a referral or advertising fee. That money moves between us and them. It is not added to your estimate, it is not deducted from their scope, and it has no bearing on whether the technician tells you to extend a downspout and wait a year or to install eight piers next week. We would rather lose a fee than send a crew to a house that doesn't need one.

We measure what works. Call tracking and a cookieless analytics service tell us which pages bring in inquiries; calls may be recorded, and you hear a notice when they are. Our privacy policy says exactly what is collected. None of that measurement touches your price either.

A few things follow from all this. You can ask who is coming and we will name the company before anything is scheduled. The written sheet from the contractor is the only price that counts, whatever arrangement sits behind it. You are free to get another opinion, and plenty of people do on a job this size; we won't talk you out of it. The contractors are independent, which means their licence number, their insurance certificate, their permit with City of Huntsville Building Services and their warranty are theirs to show you. Ask for all four. If the job is $10,000 or more, Alabama law says the contractor needs a residential home builder's licence, and you can look the number up before you sign.

This site may turn up in search results or in paid advertising. Any outside service used to run or measure that advertising sees only what it needs to do so.
